Launched in 1961 Enid is one of the most famous timber offshore racing yachts in Australia, sealing her place in history in 1964 by winning the first ever Sydney to Mooloolaba race. Enid has competed in the Sydney to Hobart race 4 times and entered the Brisbane to gladstone race on 15 occasions. In 2003, she relived her glory days being the first home in the Whitsundays inaugural Hunter Classic race.
She comes from a time when offshore race boats were things of polished timber and beauty - not made of plastic, when sailors carried a pot of varnish - not million dollar sponsorships and where competitors sipped martinis and watched the sky instead of relying on electronic instruments.
Enid is for those who appreciate style, class and history.
